Rant:
People who don't get back to you with a simple yes or no answer.
All I want to know is are you in or out? If you're in, weigh-in and let me know. That's it. That's all it takes. Today we (family and friends) begin a Biggest Loser competition of our own. All I need people to do is to send me their current weight and we begin...
Rave:
People who get back to you with a simple yes or no answer.
Yay for the people who get back to me and give me their info!! You win bonus points!
Day 1: 237.5

Why be a teacher if you can't teach?
Rant:
Teachers who can't/shouldn't teach.
My Chem 104 teacher doesn't explain things very clearly. She also goes off on tangents about things that we don't need to know, which only further confuses us.
In my PE 104 class we are working on CPR. this requires our teacher to bring other instructors in so there are eyes on all of us in order to correct our technique or to, you know, teach. Well, pone of the guest instructors doesn't teach, he yells. If you try to ask a question, first you are interupted, then you are told to "stop thinking and just do it." Really? You want me to STOP thinking about how to do CPR CORRECTLY?!?! As a fellow student and I were discussing this after class, he brought up a valid point. This is supposed to be an instructional class. We are supposed to be learning. If you're in this class, it is understood that you don't know what you're doing. Sheesh.
Rave:
Paychecks large enough to cover monthly expenses.
I get paid today (Thursday) and again on Saturday and I'm going to have enough to pay my bills and buy a baby shower gift for my friend! As long as I stick to my baby shower budget things should go smashingly.

Family drives me nuts:
Rant:
Family.
My family is driving me nuts. You just can't seem to win. Maybe now would be a good time to move out? No, probably not. Why? Money doesn't go on trees. If I can work a few more hours each week, I could probably afford to move out. But school is keeping me rather busy. Too busy to add more hours at work.
Rave:
Kelly Clarksons new song.
I hate the title and the fact that she says "suck" in her song, but I LOVE this song. I play it on repeat really, really loudly. And as her voice is several octaves higher than mine, I sing off key. But it's happy off-key singing.

Happy (Belated) 2009!
It has been almost a year and a half since my last post on here... This is most likely due to the fact that I forgot I even had a blogspot.
My current rant:
Smogging your car.
When trying to transfer the title of a car, you need to have a relatively new smog certificate. Well, if you fail the smog test and want assistance from the state to help pay for it, you need to be the registered owner. In order to become the registered owner, you must submit a smog certificate. See how the vicious cycle goes on and on?
My current rave:
Homemade dog food.
About 6 weeks ago I put my dog on a homemade food trial to see if it would help his ear problems. I am happy to say that his ears are doing much better! Also, after finally hitting my groove, I am able to throw together his meals in about 30 minutes. I make 1 weeks worth of food and keep the batch in the fridge. I am now contemplating making a bigger batch and freezing part of it. I like to keep his veggies as fresh as possible, but the meat I would like to cook and freeze ahead of time.
And now for today's "Real Simple" quote:
There are two kinds of talent, man-made talent and God-given talent. With man-made talent you have to work very hard. With God-given talent you just touch it up once in a while.

Have a good day everyone!
